Striped bass

The Atlantic Striped bass (Morone saxatilis) species is distributed along the East Coast from the St. Lawrence River (Canada) to St. Johns River in Florida and in the Gulf of Mexico from Florida to Louisiana (United States) (NOAA, 2023). Although the Stiped bass coastal migratory stock, managed by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC), only extends from Maine to North Carolina (ASMFC, 2022).
