Pacific ocean perch (Sebastes alutus) along with four other species of rockfish rougheye rockfish, S. aleutianus; northern rockfish, S. polyspinis; shortraker rockfish, S. borealis; and sharpchin rockfish, S. zacentrus) inhabit the continental shelf and slope of the Bering Sea and North Pacific Ocean. They are managed through Total Allowable Catch (TAC) in British Columbia (Canada) and U.S. jurisdictions of Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and continental West Coast states of Oregon and Washington.
